  The Malaysian Student Council of Australia (MASCA) is an official Malaysian student body in Australia. It is lead by MASCA National and the corresponding state bodies i.e. MASCA NSW, MASCA Victoria, MASCA QLD, MASCA SA, MASCA TASMANIA and MASCA WA.

    MASCA is supported by the Malaysian Student Department (MSD) in organizing events for Malaysian students studying in Australia. The main purpose of MASCA QLD is to help coordinate and unite Malaysian student bodies within Queensland. MASCA QLD does this by supporting the main Malaysian student associations in Queensland i.e. from the University of Queensland (UQ), Queensland University of Technology (QUT), Bond University (BU) and Griffith University (GU).

    Among the activities the MASCA QLD committee has been involved in are National Conference and Games, Merdeka Ball, Deeparaya Celebration and Malaysian High Commissioner (HICOM) visit to Brisbane. MASCA QLD does not organize/coordinate many events, but the events that involve at state level and huge effort is put into obtaining support and participation from various Malaysian student bodies around Queensland.
