MASCA NATIONAL CONFERENCE AND GAMES 2008 We are proud to announce that Queensland's sunny capital city of Brisbane will be the gracious host for the annual MASCA National Conference and Games (NCG) for 2008. This year's NCG will be a four-day event starting from 1st - 4th July 2008. Malaysian students from all over Australia will congregate in Brisbane over the winter holidays to take part in various sporting events, the MASCA annual general meeting and a fabulous masquerade ball as the traditional end of the NCG where winners are celebrated, MASCA Idol is contested and everyone gets a chance to eat, drink and be merry. Last year we had an excellent time in Melbourne, congratulations to MASCA Victoria for organising a very successful event. It will be hard to beat, but we're going to do our best to ensure everyone has a good time competing and cheering their teams on. So, plan your winter break in Brisbane this year. Sports, friendly competition, team spirit...It'll be a blast! Registration Fees & Packages Four packages have been made available to the convenience of the athletes participating in sporting events (Packages 1 & 2) as well as the supporters who would be joining them (Packages 3 & 4). The packages have been designed to suit the immediate requirements of all delegates and the prices of the packages have been minimized in par with the current confirmation of main sponsor bodies for the event, namely the Malaysian Students’ Department (MSD) and the International Education Directorate (IED), University of Queensland. Details for the packages are as follows: Package 1 : Athletes + Provided Accommodation $ 250.00 Catered to delegates who would be participating in the sporting events and require accommodation as provided by the organizing committee, this package includes : 3 nights single room accommodation in a residential college within the sporting venue 3 breakfasts to be provided at King's College Access to facilities within the college (e.g. swimming pool, gym, etc) 2 lunches Welcoming Dinner Masquerade Ball Merchandises : Goodie bag + official NCG T-shirt Transportation to venues outside the University Venue hire and equipments for sporting events Basic first aid and other services* Package 2 : Athletes + No accommodation provided $ 150.00 Catered to delegates who would be participating in the sporting events and do not require accommodation as provided by the organizing committee, this package includes : 2 lunches Delegates are strongly advised to have confirmations of accommodations within convenient traveling distance of the event venues if this package is selected.

This package includes : 3 nights single room accommodation in a residential college within the sporting venue 3 breakfasts to be provided at King's College Access to facilities within the college (e.g. swimming pool, gym, etc) 2 lunches Welcoming Dinner Masquerade Ball Merchandises : Goodie bag + official NCG T-shirt Transportation to venues outside the University Venue hire Basic first aid and other services* Package 4 : Supporters + No accommodation provided $ 140.00 Catered to delegates who would not be directly participating in any sporting events, joining us in good spirit of supporting the athletes and do not require accommodation as provided by the organizing committee, this package includes : 2 lunches Welcoming Dinner Masquerade Ball Merchandises : Goodie bag + official NCG T-shirt Transportation to venues outside the University Venue hire Basic first aid and other services * Delegates are strongly advised to have confirmations of accommodations within convenient traveling distance of the event venues if this package is selected. *Other services that may be arranged and provided by the organizing committee, residential colleges or hired venues will be finalized prior to the event and detailed in the Final Briefing Sheet (to be sent out as the event approaches). -Meals as provided in the packages have been Halal approved or suitable alternatives have been arranged. -Delegates who will be staying in the residential colleges as provided in the packages will be required to adhere to the rules and regulations of the colleges that will be outlined on a later date. -Packages are subjected to minor alterations in lieu of ongoing negotiations with sponsorship bodies and other parties involved. However, at this point, details of the packages as outlined have been confirmed to be right. |
